We were happy to have the opportunity to join in the 30th anniversary celebration events hosted by our client Compleat Lifestyles. In honor of this momentous occasion, the Centennial-based store held a two-day in-store event April 25 and 26. More than 650 people came out to join in the celebration at Denver’s last independently owned kitchen and housewares store.
The anniversary celebration featured book signings by local Colorado authors Michele Morris (“Tasting Colorado”) and Barbara Stafford (“Eclectic Entertaining”), product demonstrations, Amy Howard at Home paint demonstrations, special discounts, drawings for prizes, food tastings and beverages. Among the many businesses who joined in the festivities, were Centennial-based vendors including, 19 year-old Keenan Lee Adams, creator of K-Sauce; Chocolate Lisa with Truffnies; and Maggie Donovan, creator of Maggie’s WiseCakes; and from Denver, Gene Kalesti, creator of Gene’s Pure Colorado.
Founded in 1984 by Dennen and Trexler as Compleat Gourmet & Gifts, Stevinson purchased the store in 2011. In 2013, Stevinson expanded the business from a one shop retail store to a two-facility store and renamed it Compleat Lifestyles to reflect its expanded offerings. Both are located in the Southglenn Square shopping center. The Gourmet & Gifts store is in the flagship store location, while the Home Accents store is across the parking lot in the former location of Twigs Interiors & Design.
Compleat Lifestyles blends affordable living with world experience. The store offers a unique selection of kitchen products, gourmet food, gifts, home décor, furnishings and women’s accessories, with a special emphasis on Colorado-made, USA-made and fair trade products. Compleat Lifestyles currently employs 24 staff members, many of whom have been with the store for more than 15 years. In addition to its retail offerings, the store hosts a variety of cooking classes and home décor workshops throughout the year, and provides exceptional, personalized bridal registry service.
