TELL US, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m co-founder of Reboot.io and also a coach and facilitator.

Reboot is a coaching company. Our comprehensive offerings serve leadership development for individuals, teams, and entire organizations. We believe that in our work lies the possibility of the full realization of human potential. Work doesn’t have to destroy us. Work can be the way we achieve our fullest selves.

Together, our offerings are a complete foundation for what it means to emerge as a leader. We offer coaching, 360-degree performance reviews, boot camps, co-founder boot camps, peer groups, internal trainings, and organizational change management for your company, and plenty of rich resources for entrepreneurs, such as our podcast.

I also do equine facilitated coaching work with my herd of horses here in Colorado and am the owner/founder of Deep Peace Farm (@deeppeacefarm on Instagram).

HOW DID YOU GET HERE?

I’ve been into personal growth, self-actualization, and self care my whole life. I got into tech right out of graduate school; I joined a couple of start ups as a project manager and then as head of ops in the decade that followed. In 2013, I began the CEO Bootcamps with Jerry Colonna, and in 2014 we formed Reboot.io.

WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR? WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT TO YOU?

When it comes to doing the work of becoming more fully human, if we don’t work on “our stuff,” our stuff will work on us. It will run our lives – and show up in our offices and relationships – until we take the reins of responsibility for our own well being. What lies beyond that is a freedom, peace, and magic intimacy with life that is your soul work in this lifetime.

WHAT IMPACT ARE YOU MAKING?

We began Reboot to relieve the stress and burnout that in-humane/toxic/dysfunctional workplaces can create (and that our “unfinished business” – our inner work – can create in our lives). We help clients find the core of their inner resources and resilience so that they can meet life with presence, integrity, and aliveness. In turn, their organizations can do the same.

WHAT (OR WHO) INSPIRES YOU TO DO THIS WORK?

My clients and the clients we have at Reboot are quite inspiring in the work they are doing within themselves and within their workplaces. I’m also inspired to do this work for my horses and the partnership that’s possible with them every day.

WHAT’S YOUR VISION, YOUR BIG DREAM FOR THE IMPACT YOU WANT TO MAKE?

The potential of each individual to become more of themselves in their lifetime is what drives me. If we can all shift our perspectives and grow deeper in our self-awareness, I believe that we can do the most important work of creating change for not only ourselves but our relationships with others and the environment.

WHAT CHALLENGES ARE YOU FACING?

Personally, I could use a thousand arms and 4-8 more hours in the day.

WHAT’S ONE THING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORK YOU’RE DOING?

Regardless of what you’re going through, whatever situation you’re in, the most important conversation you can have is the one with your own heart and the most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE QUOTE OR WORDS OF INSPIRATION TO SHARE?

Here’s a blessing from Brother David Steindl-Rast:

“May you grow still enough to hear the small noises earth makes in preparing for the long sleep of winter, so that you yourself may grow calm and grounded deep within.
May you grow still enough to hear the trickling of water seeping into the ground, so that your soul may be softened and healed, and guided in its flow.
May you grow still enough to hear the splintering of starlight in the winter sky and the roar at earth’s fiery core.
May you grow still enough to hear the stir of a single snowflake in the air, so that your inner silence may turn into hushed expectation.”

HOW CAN OTHERS SUPPORT YOU OR YOUR CAUSE?

Take a deep breath (or three) and check in with your heart to see how you’re doing – how you’re really doing. Another thing would be to sign up for the Reboot newsletter at reboot.io, follow @reeboothq on Instagram and then follow @deeppeacefarm on Instagram as well.
