“And the award goes to…”

Rhiannon and Michelle holding their PRSA Colorado Silver Pick AwardA week ago, we were surrounded by more than 200 friends and peers at the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA Colorado) Gold Pick Awards. The highlight of the evening, aside from being entertained by Fox 31’s “Everyday Show” hosts Chris Parente and Kathie J., was bringing home an award.

The year 2016 has already been memorable for us at Orapin Marketing + Public Relations. We entered our sixth year of business, added two new team members, expanded our client roster significantly, partners Rhiannon Hendrickson and Michelle Ellis have received individual award recognitions, and we can now add to the list receiving our first award recognizing us for our public relations and marketing efforts.

We were honored to be recognized with a Silver Pick Award for our hard work and results from Get Scared: Media + Influencer Outreach for Denver’s Most Horrifying Haunts (media relations – component). In 2015, we worked with Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, the only company and brand in the country to produce haunted houses on a national scale, as it returned for another season of screams in the Mile High City with its renowned haunted houses, 13th Floor and The Asylum.

PRSA Colorado’s Gold Pick Awards honor the achievements of individuals and organizations for best practices and high ethical standards in public relations. “Our Colorado PR professionals continue to raise the bar with thoughtful, strategic, and effective campaigns and tactics and PRSA Colorado is proud to recognize those invested in advancing our profession through excellent work,” said Nicole Yost, PRSA Colorado president.

It was a night we won’t soon forget and hopefully the first of many Gold and Silver Pick Awards for our work, which is really more about recognizing our strong partnerships with the purpose-driven businesses making an impact we work with and the results we achieve to help them make a bigger impact. Thank you to our friends, families and amazing clients for being with us on this incredible ride.
