She’s worked in-house for DaVita and Natera as head of communications, leading the communications function to support internal and external communications, issues management, and social media.
She drives national and international media coverage, has led policy communications efforts, and manages all levels of corporate communications issues, reaching diverse stakeholder groups. She has extensive experience working on issues related to government inquiries, lawsuits, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex matters.
Kate’s passion for storytelling, keen focus on achieving strategic objectives, and consideration of new options create a spark that jumps clients ahead of competitors. She has managed all levels of crisis communications and issues management, reaching diverse stakeholder groups, including DOJ investigations, M&A announcements, divestitures, reductions in force, individual site-level crises, and national negative media coverage. In past work, she supported the government’s Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in developing partnerships with community health organizations in HHS Regions 8 and 10, engaging the organizations to utilize evidence-based research.

She graduated from The Ohio State University, sits on the advisory board for the School of Communication, and supports various nonprofits within Denver, where she lives with her husband and son. She also received a graduate certificate in financial communications from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
